Julian Gill
Julian Gill is the medical investigative reporter at the Houston Chronicle, where he covers a wide range of topics – the COVID-19 pandemic, abortion policy, organ transplants, hospital finances and, more recently, the growing popularity of weight loss medications.
Before joining the Chronicle in 2018, Gill covered police and county government at the Denton Record-Chronicle, where he won statewide awards for an investigative story about questionable police overtime practices. In 2022, he was recognized by the Society for Features Journalism and Texas Managing Editors for series of stories about a COVID lung transplant patient. He grew up in San Antonio (Go Spurs Go) and graduated from the University of North Texas.
